In 1949 Richey’s was opened on Cortez Road in Bradenton.  Owner Austin "Richey" Richards believed in using only the highest of quality products.  

Richey’s remains one of the few candy shops in America offering hand made chocolates.  The process is meticulous, ensuring that taste and freshness is uncompromised.  We take great pride in providing the highest quality product using pure chocolate, real cream, fresh butter and fresh roasted nuts.  Preservatives are never used in the creation of more then 130 varieties of chocolates: Milk Chocolate, dark chocolate, toffee, caramel, nut clusters, fudge, creams and more.
 

Owners have been chosen to continue in the tradition of excellence and integrity.  The immaculate facility provides viewing windows for the public to see the chocolates being made by hand, sorted and packaged.  Group tours can be arranged.

Richey’s has always been family owned and operated ensuring the highest of standards and quality.  Children always love coming to the chocolate shop, and one day could be the future of Richey’s Chocolate.
